Before & After: REDCOM completes Maxon Hyundai

Jessica Perry, NJBIZ - May 3, 2024

REDCOM Design & Construction recently completed an 11-month construction project to transform Maxon Hyundai.

In April, the car dealership located at 2329 U.S. 22 W. in Union celebrated the grand opening of its new showroom and service center with State Sen. Joe Cryan, D-20th District, and Union Township Committeeman Joseph Florio on hand.

Westfield-based REDCOM provided site engineering, architectural and general contracting services to Maxon for the $15.5 million project.

The work aimed to enhance the customer experience as well as increase the capacity and efficiency of the service center, according to the company. The dealership continued to operate on-site throughout the renovations.

“The Maxon project was particularly rewarding for REDCOM,” said Senior Vice President of Sales Sam Rockaway. “REDCOM kept Maxon selling cars and servicing vehicles at its location while we demolished the existing showroom, completely renovated the service facility and built a small addition onto it. All on a very busy site.”

“Maxon Hyundai is a high-volume dealership,” explained owner Robert Mariani. “We updated our showroom to give our customers a more enjoyable experience. We also enhanced our service area – adding new lifts, expanding and optimizing the space – to keep pace with customer demand. We’re thrilled with the beautiful, fully brand compliant results that REDCOM delivered in a very short timeframe.”

Maxon Hyundai has served the Union County area for over 50 years, it accommodates more than 700 new and used vehicles in inventory.
