A new development will deliver 42 apartments and ground-floor parking to a site at 1805 Front St. in Scotch Plains.

More than 40 new apartments are coming to Scotch Plains as part of a project that’s now underway by REDCOM Design & Construction.

The Westfield-based firm announced last week that it had broken ground at 1805 Front St., where it’s working alongside K&M Facility Management to build the 80,181-square-foot development. According to a news release, the building will have two upper floors housing 42 apartments and ground-floor parking with electric vehicle charging stations.

Completion is slated for summer of 2026. Those on hand for a recent groundbreaking ceremony included REDCOM CEO Ryan Teicher and Senior Vice President of Sales Sam Rockaway, who joined the K&M owner’s representative team of Michael and Kathy Ghabrial.

“It is very rewarding to work with K&M and to leverage REDCOM’s decades of experience to create additional housing in our community,” Rockaway said.
