“A few years ago, Surgent’s Elite School of Gymnastics’ Westfield location was in need of our first facility expansion. We had outgrown our facility and consulted Greg Redington, the owner of REDCOM, to design and oversee the construction of our 5,000 sq. ft. project. Although Greg’s company was rapidly growing, he assigned one of his skilled architects and took on my project. The final plans were completed within one month. After town approval, we began construction. Greg was hands on from the beginning to the end. With his guidance our addition was completed in around eight months. I still remember Greg insisting to meet with me at the job site to make sure he could inspect the final product. He wanted to make sure everything was built accurately according to the architecture plans and to his high standards. After I was granted a permanent C.O., he gave me a check for $10,000. Seeing the confusion on my face, he explained the project came in under budget and he was returning $10,000. Between my houses, condominiums and buildings, I have spent half my life dealing with contractors. Never in my life did I have anyone return money after the project was over. I was completely shocked by Greg’s honesty. It was an unexpected and selfless gesture. To this day, I am amazed at his moral conviction. It also influenced how I do business within the gymnastics industry.
Because of his professionalism, I hired Greg’s company to put another addition on the front of my building and a 5,000 sq. ft. solar panel project on the roof of the addition he had helped build. The solar panel project involved state and federal rebates. Although the rebates were outside the scope of what I hired him for, he assigned one of his employees to help me complete the rebate process. I am limited in my technology knowledge, and his team was very patient and kind to me. Greg was generous with his time taking my phone calls and drop-in visits. I always felt welcome and valued. To this day, his staff still helps me quarterly yo call in the S racks (unit to measure accumulated solar energy) long after our project ended.
Through our years together, I have worked with many of his team members. I can tell Greg displays strong leadership in his company, and his employees seem to thrive under his leadership style. They reflect Greg’s honesty, patience, kindness and knowledge. I appreciate his professionalism and look forward to working together again.”
